Today was relaxing and fun! Sydney went to church in the morning. We counted about 80 service missionaries in attendance who come to the hospital to provide the sacrament to patients and provide comfort and blessings. What a nice service they provide! They say they love what they do – they love helping and comforting people.
Sydney also played dress-up today; she fixed her hair and make-up and looked so gorgeous! It's fun to do this when you can. :) She also enjoyed the visitors who came to see her. It is so nice to see friends, neighbors and relatives! She is feeling well enough that Sundays will be open for visits from anyone who wants to come and see her. She gets pretty wiped out during the week, but Sunday will be her well-deserved day of rest!
We are thinking Sydney will come home around Halloween. It will be nice to have her home! She will continue out-patient rehab when she gets home. Once we adapt to a routine at home for a couple of weeks, we are thinking she could go over to the school for maybe 1 class a day; with a goal of being at school full-time by Term 3.
We are so grateful for her miraculous recovery! Thank you again for your support and prayers!
I'll close with this quote the young women in her church framed for Sydney:
“What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
